Using JSTOR Arts & Sciences

Description

More than 3,000 Open Access ebooks are now available . These titles reflect JSTOR’s high standards for quality content and are freely available for anyone in the world to use. Users won’t need to register or log in, and there are no DRM restrictions or limits on chapter PDF downloads or printing. The ebooks are also preserved in Portico, ensuring that they will be available to researchers in perpetuity.

Printing/Copying

Open the chapter in your PDF reader and print from the PDF file

Although there are no printing/copying restrictions imposed by JSTOR, please be aware that such usage is still subject to the usual copyright restrictions​

Reading/Downloading

JSTOR e-books can be downloaded or read online 

To download, select the chapter you want from the table of content, Click on 'I Accept, Proceed to PDF' to accept JSTOR’s terms and conditions.

If you have set up a MyJSTOR account, this includes an acceptance of the JSTOR terms and conditions so you will not be prompted again.  

Downloading on Apple Devices

Once you have clicked on the download option and accepted the terms & conditions it will open it in Safari but if you click on ‘More…’ you can choose the reader you wish to view the document in or use ‘Open in…’ to use the reader already in use. It will save the document to your device (in iBooks, Adobe Reader, BlueFire Reader etc)
