SCONUL Access is a scheme which allows many university library users to use other libraries which belong to the scheme. Staff, faculty and researchers at LBS can apply for access under Band A of the scheme. Taught postgraduates are not eligible.
Students following taught courses at institutional members of SCONUL will normally be granted reference use of other SCONUL HE libraries free of charge during the summer vacations of the host institution.
The scheme does not provide for borrowing, nor for access to electronic sources of information. This scheme is distinct from the SCONUL Access Scheme, which has stricter eligibility rules but provides a higher level of access to resources and operates all year. Not all institutional members of SCONUL participate in the SCONUL Access Scheme.
