Books and articles  
How can I supply an e-book to students?

Go to the Library catalogue. If there is an e-book version it will be indicated with “location internet” and a URL will be displayed. Different e-book providers have different download limits and access models. See our guidance here. Email the library and we can check if the model is appropriate. Or we can try and source (or commission) an e-book.
Will students have access to the books on my reading list? Students are once again able to access books from our print collection 24/7.  Links to request items using click and collect and a guide to the service itself can be found in the Student FAQs below.
Some books may be available as e-books which can be accessed through the catalogue, but there are some text books that are not. If you have any questions or concerns about particular required readings please contact us.
I need to supply journal article readings

If the article is in one of our databases then provide students with a link. The link must be formatted to work on and off campus. Information about copyright restrictions and the guide to making links can be found here. If we don’t subscribe to the title please email the Library as we may be able to buy articles copyright cleared.
Can I supply FT.com articles?

You must link as supplying articles is strictly forbidden. All students, staff and faculty can register here  for the FT.com. (As the FT link is direct no special formatting is required.) For other news sources such as Wall Street Journal you should link to Factiva. See the linking document - or the Library can help format robust links to Factiva.
I need to borrow a book from the library Our print book collection is accessible to all our customers whenever the Sammy Ofer Centre is open, so you can either come and get the book from the shelves and then borrow it through the self-issue kiosk, or if you prefer you can use our Click & Collect Service (or Click & Deliver).
It is possible we already have an e-book copy which can be accessed through our catalogue.  If we do not, please email us as we may be able to help.
I personally need to read certain articles, books and book chapters that the library doesn't hold. Can the Library still help?

If it is a book you think we should buy for our collection please email library@london.edu. 
Alternatively we can request a book, journal or article through the document supply service. 

TIP: use the LibKey Nomad browser extension for easy access to journal articles. If access isn't provided by the library or an open access source, it will route you through to our document supply form so you can easily request it.

I need students to download company and market data.
What resources can they use?

August 2022: Remote access to Bloomberg ended for all their academic customers at the end of June - see Student FAQs page (from menu on left).

There are other products that may be useful to you:

Factset - pre-register here
Capital IQ - now uses Single Sign On (SSO)
Fitch (banks) 
Mergent Online - no prior registration required.
This now includes access to the analysts' research in the Investext module.
Eikon - Students can use the dedicated PCs in SO.W2.02 or book a remote ID for a couple of hours.
WRDS access if you want them to access datasets such as Compustat or CRSP.

I need access to Eikon / Datastream / SDC Platinum

SDC Platinum: The desktop version of this database has now been retired by the vendor. All content is now available through the WRDS platform.

Datastream as a standalone service has now ended (Dec 2021) and access is through an add-in from the Eikon platforms.

Eikon: There are two Eikon terminals available in the Finance Suite SO.W2.02, but Faculty and PhDs can also access it remotely through shared Eikon IDs (see the dedicated our page )

Please note this remote access to Eikon is for Faculty and PhD students ONLY (Masters students have their own remote logins).

Please note: Some SDC Platinum content is also available through Eikon but not all.
Can I get access to Morningstar? Yes, we can now provide off campus access to Morningstar.  Please contact the library team for further information.
Faculty Publications  
Are research outputs still being added to LBSResearch Online? Yes – please continue to “Act on Acceptance” and send details to us promptly as usual.
