How can I get access to Bloomberg?

July 2022. Remote access to Bloomberg ceased at the end of the Covid crisis
Bloomberg have reverted to their pre-pandemic model of access for all academic institutions from 1st July 2022.  This means  that our licenses are back on 14 of the fixed PC's in the Sammy Ofer Centre Finance Suite.

We also recommend these databases as alternatives to using Bloomberg:

I wanted to get training on Bloomberg but I haven't seen any sessions advertised

The Information Services and Library Team run bookable Bloomberg Basics training sessions (as well as sessions on other topics) during term time. These sessions will be via Zoom. To see what's coming up and book a place go to https://library.london.edu/training

Additionally Bloomberg run 3 certification programmes: Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC), Bloomberg Finance Fundamentals and ESG.
These are free to all students using a Bloomberg terminal, alternatively you can contact the Library team for a code if you wish to complete it via the Bloomberg for Education website (please note we only have a limited number of codes for the academic year).

Can I remotely access Morningstar? We can now offer remote access to Morningstar to current students.  See this page.

Are there any databases I cannot access remotely?

Yes - unfortunately we cannot offer Bloomberg.

Our Information Specialists can suggest alternative data sources so please email us with details of the data you need and we can try and help.
