Access

Access on and off campus via library catalogue or Library A-Z list https://library.london.edu/az.php?a=e&p=1

Printing/Copying

Note that some titles may not allow printing due to individual publisher-specified limits.

The number of pages available to print or copy/save may vary per title, depending on individual publisher-specified limits.

Reading/Downloading

To download a book, you must first create a My EbscoHost personal account

Most books can be downloaded to your computer or device for 1- 5 days at a time

The downloaded file will expire after you have reached the selected download period, but you can download titles again should you still wish to access them.

Ensure you have the correct software (normally either Adobe Digital Editions or Bluefire Reader) on your computer or device.

Placing a Hold on an E-Book

If the eBook you require is being used by another user, you can place a hold on the title.

Sign into your personal My EBSCOhost account and click Place Hold to be notified when that eBook is available for you to download. The eBook is placed in the Holds area of your My EBSCOhost Folder.

When the eBook is available, you are notified via the e-mail address associated with your account and the eBook appears in the Checkouts area of your folder.

Compatible Devices

EBSCO eBooks are compatible with all devices and apps supporting Adobe eBook DRM, a standard used by most popular eBook providers, including Google Play. A complete list of Adobe eBook DRM compatible devices and apps is available here.

Note: Currently, devices running the Windows operating system are not supported.

Further help with using EBSCO e-books, including help on downloading to mobile devices, is available at the EBSCO E-books help pages

Accessibility

EBSCO regularly check the compatibility of their platform with various screen readers, and make the results available here.

This platform works in a limited capacity with Text to Speech tools. EBSCO recommends using downloaded chapters or page ranges, which are DRM-free.

The online book viewer for EBSCO eBooks allows users to Zoom content beyond 200%. EPUB content is “reflowable” (meaning it adjusts to the screen size/zoom level).    Downloaded Books in EPUB format allow for changing fonts (using third party tools) .

EBSCO can provide a DRM-free copy of specific eBooks upon request. Please contact the London Business School library for further details of this service.

For further information, please see EBSCO's accessibility statement here.
