Dynamic linking to subscribed databases (e-resources)

 

If the item is already available to students electronically using a subscribed resource, you don't need to copy it; you can set up a link instead. This enables each student, when logged into portal, to individually retrieve the full text dynamically from the database. You can link to specific journal/newspaper articles or to an e-book, or chapter of an e-book.

N.B. A link will not infringe copyright as no copying is involved.

Cutting and pasting the URL at the top of the page may not work when the student or participant is off campus, so use the direct linking instructions - see attached document below.
